This product is a heavy copper multilayer PCB for designs that need higher current capacity, stronger thermal paths, or compact power circuitry. In heavy copper PCB manufacturing, copper above 3 oz is commonly treated as heavy copper, while extremely thick copper designs may go beyond 15 oz when the application requires it.

Heavy copper technology is useful when high-current switching, power distribution, or heat dissipation must be integrated into a limited board area. For thick-copper multilayer work, the stack-up, copper balance, and insulation spacing should be discussed before quotation.

Heavy Copper Design Value

Heavy copper layers can help carry current and spread heat in power electronics, but they also change how the board is etched, laminated, drilled, and inspected. A design that works with standard copper may need wider spacing, adjusted trace geometry, or special review when copper thickness increases.
